ASBMF Challenge #10: Butterflies

I could not wait to do this manicure!  I've been seeing so many beautiful butterfly manis lately and when I saw the Silverinator's butterflies, I was sure I couldn't do anything to equal it's awesomeness.  Sue, from the challenge group, suggested that I do different colored butterflies and I was sold.

my flock of butterflies!
pic heavy after the break!

I was having a hard time doing the gradient until April, from the challenge group, sent me a link to a tutorial.  you can find that here.

Gradient without the butterflies
Colors used:
Thumb - Zoya Mieko and OPI Brisbane Bronze
Index - a England Tristam and St. George
Middle - OPI Take the Stage and Zoya Jem
Ring - OPI Pedal Faster Suzi and Dutch'ya Just Love OPI?
Pinky - Color Club Fly with Me and OPI Catch Me in Your Net

I used Color Club black nail art brush to paint the lines and Color Club white nail art with a dotting tool for the dots.  One coat of Seche Vite and done!

How awesome is this?  (if I do say so myself!  LOL)
